Peatland ACTION

Delivering peatland restoration across Scotland.

Peatland ACTION is the project helping to restore damaged peatlands in Scotland. Since 2012, over 19,000 hectares have been put on the road to recovery with funding provided by the Scottish Government. Peatlands in good health are valuable and have many benefits.

The funding round for 2019-20 closed on Friday 17 May 2019.

Applicants have been informed of the outcome of their application.

An update due to COVID-19

Since the Scottish Government’s announcement of funding for peatland restoration their focus is now on COVID-19 control and peatland restoration is not permitted under current guidance.

The Scottish Government is keen that peatland restoration begins again as soon as it is appropriate.

If you have a project that you think might be eligible for a future funding round and would like to speak to one of our advisors please contact us at: [email protected]
