In 2015 NatureScot commissioned a seabed habitat survey in the Sound of Barra MPA with a focus on the maerl and seagrass bed protected features of the site. This report presents the results of the sediment grab sampling aspects of the survey. Research Report 924 presents results of diving survey work conducted in the inner, shallower parts of the sound in 2015 as well.
