Information Request – Corporate Governance Benchmarking
Your Request & Our Response
Please could we request the following information be provided under FOISA legislation:
- Total number of Non-Executive, Executive, and Co-opted Board members.
Total Number – 12
- Number of Board meetings held per year, their duration in hours, and whether they are held in person, hybrid, or online.
Typically, 7 meetings per year, lasting approx. 4-6 hours (timescale dictated by business needs). A spread of in-person, hybrid and on-line.
- Number of Audit & Risk Committee meetings held per year, their duration in hours, and whether they are held in person, hybrid, or online.
There are around 4-5 meetings per year (again dictated by business need), lasting around 4-5 hours, and again a spread of in-person, hybrid and online.
And if applicable:
- Number of finance specific Audit and Risk Committee meetings, their duration in hours, and whether they are held in person, hybrid, or online.

- Number of Investment Committee meetings per year, their duration in hours, and whether they are held in person, hybrid, or online.
Not Applicable
- Number of Remuneration Committee meetings per year, their duration in hours, and whether they are held in person, hybrid, or online.
NatureScot does not have a Remuneration Committee as such, however the Board does have a Pay Remit sub-group which sits approximately twice a year, usually on-line and for about 1 hour each time.
