Nationwide programmes

Health Walks

Walking Scotland supports the creation of Health Walks groups and the training of local volunteers to lead targeted walks. Communities and workplaces can also access Walking Scotland advice and grants. Visit the Walking Scotland website to find your nearest Health Walk

Green Gyms

Getting involved in conservation projects is another way to improve your health and help the environment at the same time. The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) Scotland offer free outdoor volunteering sessions ranging from light to vigorous gardening or conservation work. Find your nearest Green Gym on the TCV website.

Go Walking

Ramblers Scotland has a range of support available to help people get outdoors. Find a Ramblers Walk or a walking group near you. Ramblers also provides helpful information and support including a route library, advice on walking gear and more to help you get out walking. WalkHighlands also provides helpful information about walking routes across Scotland.

Parkrun

Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. There are currently 1,385 parkrun events around the country taking place every weekend. Find your nearest Parkrun.
