NatureScot Research Report 1069 - Lowland deer management - assessing the delivery of public interests
This study looked at the data we have on lowland deer management and what this can tell us about how the public interests are being delivered. We chose a representative area north of Glasgow and west of Stirling that included a typical range of lowland Scotland land uses and issues.
The study reviewed 60 publicly available datasets which were collated and mapped to understand their relevance and identify gaps. The study identified potential indicators that could be used to assess the delivery of public interest and recommended further engagement with stakeholders.
