NatureScot Commissioned Report F99C417: Red deer on Rum: a 20 year study of the ecological consequences of changes to male and female numbers
The aim of this project was to investigate the effects of four contrasting management regimes on numbers, performance and habitat use of male (stags) and female (hinds) red deer (Cervus elaphus), comparing the 10-year experimental period with the previous 10 years on the Isle of Rum NNR.
