NatureScot Commissioned Report F99AC402A: Geographical variation in the density of grazing mammals on montane sites in the Highlands of Scotland
This report presents the results of counts conducted of sheep, red deer, and mountain hare in the summers of 1987-1999 on 47 sites in the montane zone of the Highlands of Scotland. Sites ranged from Lochnagar in the eastern Grampians, to Aonach Mor/Aonach Beag in the western Grampians to Seanna Bhraigh in the northwest Highlands.
