NatureScot Commissioned Report 907: Developing a methodology for locating Annex l lowland terrestrial habitat
The aim of this project was to locate patches of Annex I lowland grassland and wetland habitats in two trial local authority areas: East Dunbartonshire and the Scottish Borders.
Related UK BAP priority habitats were also included.
A Geographic Information System (GIS) was used to combine remote sensing analysis with existing data on habitats, indicator species, and topography.
The results were mapped as five levels of the likelihood of occurrence of the Annex I habitats.
