Information Request – Tractors
Your Request
The number of tractors owned by the authority The make and models of tractors owned by the authority The age of each tractor owned by the authority. Any policy on the purchase/lease/replacement of tractors that the authority may have,
Our Response
We have 4 tractors, as detailed in the Table below.

The age in the table above is based on number plate details and believed new at time of purchase.
We do not have a policy on tractor purchase or lease. The tractors are reviewed or replaced when they either no longer meet our requirements or a mechanic assesses them as no longer financially viable to repair.
How We Handled Your Request
We believe you have asked for environmental information as defined in the Environmental Information (Scotland Regulations 2004 (‘the EIRs’), so we are dealing with your request under those regulations. To be able to use the EIRs, we must apply an exemption under section 39(2) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (‘FOISA’). The Scottish Information Commissioner’s guidance recommends that public authorities apply this exemption to environmental information and handle request under the EIRs.
