Information Request – Eradication of Stoats on Orkney
Thank you for your information request, which we received on 13 August 2024. We have considered your request under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (‘the EIRs’).
Your Request
The information I would ask you to provide is set out below.
1. The total amount of money spent to date by the partnership on the eradication of stoats on Orkney.
2. The current best estimate of the cost of completing the eradication.
3. The current best estimate of when the eradication will be completed

The current best estimate of when the eradication will be completed. | Eradication is estimated to be completed at the end December 2027, followed by 2 years of stoat-free monitoring to end December 2029 to confirm success (or otherwise). |
How We Handled Your Request
