The primary concern of this research is to contribute to the understanding of how species reintroductions can be facilitated whilst providing mechanisms for dealing with conflicts between the reintroduced species and landowners and managers.

In response to evidence of increasing beaver (Castor fiber) activity in the Tay catchment, NatureScot commissioned a study to examine the status of the beaver population in these rivers. This report outlines the methodologies and results of this survey, as well as our recommendations for future research and management.

NatureScot measures the levels of participation in walking and other outdoor recreational activities each year to support the achievement of Scottish Government policy. This report covers the eighth full calendar year of data collection from January to December 2011 inclusive.
