The sheltered seas that separate the Hebridean islands of Barra and South Uist are home to a range of spectacular wildlife.

Dive in to waters of the Sound of Barra and explore kelp forests, eelgrass meadows and expansive maerl beds while meeting some of the locals including resident bottlenose dolphins and a very inquisitive harbour seal!

Explore the Sound of Canna

The Small Isles Marine Protected Area is located on the Scotland’s west coast.
