Siting and designing wind farms in the landscape - version 3a
Siting and Designing Wind Farms in the Landscape helps to guide wind farms towards those landscapes most able to accommodate them. It sets out how wind farms can be designed to best relate to their setting and to minimise landscape and visual impacts.
This updated version of the guidance originally published in 2009 includes new advice on wind turbine lighting, turbine colour and additional advice from FCS on woodland.
Please note: the latest version (3.a) includes one change from v3 - updates regarding capacity studies and methods, in paragraph 4.3 on page 23.
