Seminar Presentation - Life in the Cadzow woods - Professor Jeanne Robinson
Dr Jeanne Robinson, Hunterian’s curator of entomology is presenting field work and initial findings of a study of Saproxylic Invertebrates of the Cadzow ancient oaks in the Hamilton High parks SSSI. Oaks provide habitat to many organisms, especially insects. Due to its large size and longevity, they play a unique role in forest ecosystems with every oak tree a reserve in its own right.
