This report builds on the recommendations in NatureScot Research Report 1076: Designing a monitoring scheme for mountain hare (Lepus timidus) in Scotland. It reports on the findings of a questionnaire survey undertaken in 2019 amongst estates and major land-holdings in the Central Highlands, in which the level of support for a monitoring scheme is assessed.
