Scotland's People and Nature Survey (SPANS) is a large-scale quantitative survey conducted among a representative sample of adults in Scotland. The survey collects information on how people living in Scotland use, value and enjoy the natural environment. This technical report has been written to accompany NatureScot Research Report 1062 - Scotland's People and Nature Survey 2017/18 - outdoor recreation and health modules. The Technical Report describes the methodology used for the 2017/18 survey, including details of fieldwork approaches, sampling, and data analysis methods.
