NatureScot Research Report 1031 - SCM survey of upland notified features on designated sites - East Mires and Lumbister
Site Condition Monitoring (SCM) is NatureScot's rolling programme of monitoring of the condition of natural features (habitats, species populations and earth science interests) on protected areas in Scotland. This report summarises the field data collected by Andy Acton and Anna Griffith during SCM of the blanket bog natural feature on East Mires and Lumbister Site of Special Scientific Interest. The blanket bog natural feature on East Mires and Lumbister was found to be in favourable condition. The current low level of grazing was found to be promoting the recovery of the bog following historic higher levels of grazing.
