NatureScot Research Report 1030 - SCM survey of upland notified features on designated sites - Dumbarton Muir
Site Condition Monitoring (SCM) is NatureScot's rolling programme of monitoring of the condition of natural features (habitats, species populations and earth science interests) on protected areas in Scotland. This report summarises the field data collected by Peak Ecology during SCM of the blanket bog natural feature on Dumbarton Muir Site of Special Scientific Interest. The blanket bog natural feature on Dumbarton Muir was found to be in favourable condition. The main damage to the site was identified as historic burning which damaged the mosses on the site, but was slowly recovering.
