NatureScot Commissioned Report 642: Site Condition Monitoring of invertebrates at Struan Wood SSSI
This document reports on a contract to carry out invertebrate at Struan Wood SSSI in 2013. A total of 18 species of saproxylic beetle were identified, including three species of British Red Data Book status and two of Nationally Scarce status. Standing dead stems with bracket fungi are plentiful at the site, but there is a large age-gap between stands. The current condition assessment is 'favourable-maintained'.
