NatureScot Commissioned Report 452: Simulation model for the management of American mink, Neovison vison, on Harris and Lewis
Simulation model for the management of American Mink, Neovison vison, in the Outer Hebrides. This individual-based simulation model of the population of American mink on Lewis and Harris was used to assess their removal and predict future trajectories and the expected time to eradication. The model was spatially explicit in that Landover data for Lewis and Harris was used to describe potential mink habitats and life history data was also integrated along with spatially and temporally explicit Hebridean Mink Project control effort.
