Inspiring Scotland | Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund |
The Nature Restoration Fund is supporting the new Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund, which aims to help community groups develop local ecosystem restoration projects. The Fund is administered by Inspiring Scotland and is also being supported by the Carman Family Foundation.
The fund, which has the same priorities for action as the NRF, will inspire, encourage, and enable communities to explore and deliver ambitious nature restoration projects locally. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of local ecosystem restoration and address barriers faced by communities.
In particular, it aims to help communities develop ‘shovel ready’ projects that other funding bodies will support. For this reason, the fund will prioritise projects that are in their early stages, filling a gap in the funding landscape.
NRF will support the Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund until March 2026. Further information can be found on Inspiring Scotland and their Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund.
