Information on services available to farmers and crofters through the Farm Advisory Service (FAS) One to One service
Caroline Wood manages the One-to-one Farm Advisory Service (FAS), which is funded through the current SRDP Programme by the EU and Scottish Government. The service aims to support farmers and crofters access the latest information to improve their financial and environmental performance. Advice is specific to the individual farm business and includes an Integrated land management plan (ILMP), Specialist advice if requested (e.g. soil management, organics, diffuse pollution, woodland/conservation management, climate change adaptation), Carbon audits and a mentoring programme for new entrants.
Caroline will provide information on what the one to one service is able to deliver and how this can help farmers and crofters across Scotland to improve their business and environmental management. The talk will be useful for anyone working with farmers and crofters.
