Scottish Biodiversity Strategy Stakeholder Event

Find out what biodiversity training courses, conferences and events are coming up and how to get involved.

The 4th Annual Biodiversity Strategy Stakeholders' event: Biodiversity 2020 - the final push!

#SBS19

The next Annual Biodiversity Stakeholders’ event will be held on 22 May 2019 at the Battleby Conference Centre.

Its focus will be on what we can do collectively in the next 18 months to make sure more Aichi targets are on track.

This event is aimed at everyone involved in biodiversity actions and delivery of the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy: a 2020 Challenge for Scotland's Biodiversity. This will include members of the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy working groups, Route Map action leads, environmental NGOs, Local Biodiversity Action Plan officers, land and water managers and those who have an interest or specialism in the natural environment.

The event provides an opportunity to:

  • Be inspired by our keynote speaker Pete Cairns
  • Understand what is preventing us from meeting the current Aichi targets
  • Take part in a World Café session allowing you to collaborate with others and pledge what you and your organisation intend doing to help drive some of these targets forward
  • Get an update on the Biodiversity Challenge Fund
  • Hear about the plans for developing international biodiversity targets for 2030

You can download the event flyer and book through Eventbrite.
