Papa Westray NCMPA

Papa Westray Nature Conservation MPA is a stronghold for the black guillemot.

One of six NCMPAs designated to support ‘tysties’ or black guillemots, Papa Westray covers a vital foraging area for the local breeding population.

This NCMPA also complements Sites of Special Scientific Interest on Holm of Papa Westray and at North Hill.
