| East Ayrshire Leisure Trust | Natural Leaders | To deliver the Natural Leaders project with 3 secondary schools in East Ayrshire, involving the pupils in the identification and development of Local Nature Reserves. |
| City of Edinburgh Council | The Outdoor Learning Map | This project will develop an online interactive Outdoor Learning map and embed its use across City of Edinburgh schools. The project will engage directly a minimum of 12 schools (10% of CEC school population), involving 360 pupils, and provide CLPL training directly to 180 teachers. The Tier 2 activities in local greenspaces will be complemented by Tier 3 fieldwork activities for S4-6 students. |
| Youth Vision | Learning in Forests | The project will provide a range of experiential outdoor learning, confidence building and CLPL programmes for 222 pupils and 40 teaching staff/ parent helpers / school volunteers from 8 schools in Edinburgh. The Forest Classroom programme of 6 weekly sessions will be provided for P6-P7 pupils from six primary schools, and an expanded Forest Skills programme will be provided for P6-S1 pupils from an additional two schools, supplemented by a single visit by each pupil to a different greenspace (Tier 3). |
| Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust | Learning in Edinburgh Local Greenspace | The project will work with 4 primary schools across the City of Edinburgh, delivering a 13-week programme of curriculum-based activities in local greenspaces to 250 P5-7 pupils and CLPL training for 10 teachers. The John Muir Award at Discovery level provides the framework for the programme. |
| Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society | Grow and Learn in Nature | This project will run weekly sessions in Saughton Park, Edinburgh for 48 pupils from 4 schools using the established and progressive ‘Grow and Learn’ Award and developing a new ‘Grow and Learn in Nature’ Award to provide a framework for groups to learn together. This will be supplemented with occasional trips walking to other sites in Edinburgh (Corstorphine Hill, Water of Leith, Colinton Dell). Monthly CLPL training will be provided for 12 teachers. |
| Arts and Communities Association | Dundee Learning in Nature | This partnership project will provide targeted support on weekly basis to 340 pupils from 6 schools: Arts and Communities Association will engage 170 primary and secondary pupils from 3 schools in greenspace improvements and John Muir “Explore” Award, Rock Solid will focus on personal development work using John Muir “Discovery” Award with 170 pupils from another 3 schools, JMT will deliver CLPL training to 60 teachers and a John Muir Award sharing event for other key staff. |
| Urban Roots Initiative | Southside Schools Digging into Nature | This project will embed food growing and outdoor learning experiences into 5 primary schools in Glasgow City through a year-long programme to support 50 teachers and 300 pupils. The project will involve monthly CLPL sessions and weekly structured visits to parks and community gardens close to the schools, with 25% of the outdoor learning activities led by Urban Roots and 75% led by teachers. |
| RSPB Scotland | Let Glasgow Flourish | The project will work in 4 hub communities in Glasgow to deliver community greenspace engagement linking key schools with their local greenspaces and community groups, through environmental education, networking meetings, CLPL, practical conservation and a celebration event. The project will provide monthly structured sessions for 120 students from 4 secondary schools, and provide CLPL training for 40 teachers. |
