Our Open Data Publication Plan sets out how we’re making natural heritage and internal business information more accessible to the public.
According to the Scottish Government Open Data Strategy, open data is:
- non-personal and non-commercial data
- accessible to anyone via the internet, free of charge and free of restrictions on reuse
- machine readable across a wide range of technologies
NatureScot aims to publish all data in a non-proprietary format by 2017.
