NatureScot reaction to the "Grouse Moor Management Group recommendations: Scottish Government response"
27 November 2020
Robbie Kernahan, NatureScot’s Director of Sustainable Growth, said:
“We welcome the Scottish Government’s very clear response to Professor Werritty’s Group Report. The uplands have a strong role to play in the nature-based solutions we need to reverse biodiversity loss in Scotland and in supporting the green recovery. The measures announced today will help tackle wildlife crime, the climate emergency and enhance the benefits of nature.
“We recognise how important these changes are for the livelihoods of those working in rural areas and the importance that new measures are clear, practical and effective, while also reaching high standards for protecting our wildlife and habitats.”
Here is the Scottish Government report published on 26 November.
