Loch Fleet NNR - Getting involved

Get involved as a volunteer at Loch Fleet NNR. There are also opportunities for outdoor learning.

Volunteer

Why not join us as a volunteer at Loch Fleet NNR?

There’s always a lot going on, and we would really value your help. We work with a team from the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

You’ll get involved with a range of tasks:

• beach cleaning
• path repairs
• clearing regenerating woodland from the dunes
• fencing
• biological recording

Work parties are held on the third Wednesday of the month from 10am to 3pm.

Please bring a packed lunch, sturdy footwear, warm clothing and waterproofs. The nearest public toilets are in Golspie, 6 kilometres to the north.

If you’d like to find out more, please email Adam Rose ([email protected]) or telephone NatureScot Golspie Office (0300 067 6841).

Outdoor learning

We’re keen to see Loch Fleet NNR used for outdoor learning for all ages and will support visits whenever we can.

If you’re interested in bringing a school, college or university group to Loch Fleet, please contact the reserve manager.
