Connecting young people with nature is an important part of NatureScot’s (NatureScot) work and this report summarises some of the most recent research findings relating to the behaviour and attitudes of young adults aged between 16 and 24. It includes data on participation in outdoor recreation and looks at the extent to which young adults are aware of and engaged with, for example, wildlife, biodiversity loss and climate change.
