Le bhith a’ cleachdadh eòlas nan daoine fhèin, tha beartas de dh’ainmean-àite – mòran dhiubh nach do nochd ann an clò riamh roimhe – gan lorg ’s an cuid brìghean gan deasbad. Lorgar na h-ainmean-àite air fad leis a' chlàr a th' anns an leabhran, cuide ri comharran-clèithe agus stiùireadh fuaimneachaidh.
By drawing on the knowledge of local people, a wealth of place-names - including many that have not been recorded in print before - are identified and their meaning discussed. All the place-names can be located using the index, which provides grid references as well as a rough guide to pronunciation.
