The limestone cave systems at Inchnadamph have preserved various deposits, including plant and animal remains, and are a key location for geological research.
Studying how these caves evolved – and the sediments they contain – can help us to better understand the links between geology, landforms, natural history and landscape.
This report sets out the main climatic, environmental and geomorphological phases in the evolution of this part of north-west Scotland.
Anyone involved in producing interpretive materials or management plans for Inchnadamph or nearby National Nature Reserves will find the report useful.
