When, in the ninth century, the Vikings started to expand across the North Sea from Norway to the north-west seaboard of Scotland, they eventually settled in the Western Isles; Eriskay was no exception. This booklet is the result of a research project dealing with some of the lesser-known place-names of Eriskay.
