Assessing Progress in Deer Management - NatureScot report to Scottish Government 2019
This report provides an update to the review of deer management in Scotland carried out by NatureScot in 2016. It focuses on efforts to ensure deer management takes account of public interests.
The report pulls together available evidence of progress including: our assessment of Deer Management Group (DMG) performance in 2019; the recommendations of the Lowland Deer Panel; progress on Scottish Biodiversity Strategy 2020 Route Map targets, recently published research reports and our review of the Deer Code.
