Caerlaverock NNR - Wild Geese from Wardlaw

Caerlaverock Castle car park, Saturday 12 October (17:30-20:30)

As part of the Wild Goose Weekend WWT Caerlaverock wardens and SNH staff are leading a walk up Wardlaw Hill to see the dusk flight of the pint footed geese and barnacle geese.

Booking - essential.  All under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

    Caerlaverock NNR is on the north shore of the Solway Firth, South East of Dumfries.

    From Dumfries, take the B725 south to Glencaple/ Bankend, following the east bank of the River Nith.

    From Annan – Gretna, turn left along the A75 towards Clarencefield then right onto the B725 before Ruthwell.

    Castle Corner car park is sign-posted Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve. The car park at Castle Corner has a 2.1m height restriction barrier.
