Organisational structure

Scottish Natural Heritage divides work across three directorates – each led by a director who sits on our Senior Leadership Team.

Scottish Natural Heritage divides work across our four Corporate Outcomes – each led by a director who sits on our Senior Leadership Team. The four Corporate Outcomes are:

  • More people enjoying and benefitting from nature
  • The health and resilience of Scotland’s nature is improved
  • More investment in the management of Scotland’s Natural Capital
  • We have transformed how we work

A director leads each directorate, and all three directors sit on our Senior Leadership Team. Our Chief Executive, appointed by our Board, leads this team.

Our seven operational areas are:
